DSP Masterclass with Tjark Köhler Marketing & Digital Partnerships Director, Nettwerk Music

This 30-minute webinar provides a comprehensive introduction to how Digital Service Providers (DSPs) function within an independent artist's release ecosystem. The presentation highlights the core operational areas artists can directly control, including metadata accuracy, distributor setup, and profile optimisation. It breaks down the realities of algorithmic discovery, editorial pitching, and user curation to establish realistic release expectations. Participants will learn how to analyse post-release data to prioritise authentic listener engagement and regional momentum over vanity streaming numbers. The session concludes with a practical campaign checklist, followed by an open Q&A session.

The session will be led by Tjark Köhler, Marketing & Digital Partnerships Director at Nettwerk Music, who joined the company in 2016 and currently heads their EU Marketing team. Drawing on his extensive experience managing direct relationships with major streaming platforms across Europe, this masterclass will provide firsthand industry insights to help artists maximise their digital footprint.

This webinar is offered free of charge to Music NWT members. Not yet a member? Sign up to access this session and other member benefits. Advance registration is required to attend.

Regional Advisory Committee - Expression of Interest

Music NWT is looking for community members from across the Northwest Territories to join our new Regional Advisory Committee.

This committee will help strengthen connections between Music NWT and local music communities by sharing regional perspectives, identifying opportunities and challenges, and supporting outreach across the territory.

We are seeking representatives from each of the five regions of the NWT who are active in their local music scenes and interested in supporting the growth of the territory’s music sector.

Committee members will take part in quarterly virtual meetings, with occasional communication between meetings. Selected members will serve a two-year term and will receive meeting honoraria, a complimentary Music NWT membership, and access to programming and professional development opportunities.

To express interest in joining the committee, please complete the form.

Music NWT is committed to balanced regional representation and encourages applications from individuals representing diverse communities, experiences, and perspectives across the NWT.
